Watched most of the 4 games in Fenway over the weekend. Rays looked sharp, towards the end the Sox looked awful: rattled, erratic, not their old selves. Even as a Rays partisan, I know the Red Sox are a better team than that, and it wasn't really that much fun to watch them play the way they did in the third and fourth games.
On the other hand, as of this moment in time, the Rays have the best record in baseball, which I have to count as a good thing.

Last year, I figured out that the online mlb.tv package, combined with the iphone mlb app and a $100 roku box, represented a really great deal, especially since i'm a Rays fan stuck in territory which is dominated by Yankee fans with noticeable numbers of Mets and Red Sox fans around.
This year, the prices are noticeably up. Not so much that I haven't bought the package, but still, I can now see that if the trend continues, there will be a point where I have to seriously consider how much money I want to spend on this stuff. It's annoying to have to think about this stuff. Do they really need to put so much effort into separating fans from their money? The pricing for MLB licensed apparel is outrageous, which is why we don't own any.
